About Us

We are an outreach branch of the University of Tennessee, providing services and opportunities to the residents of Dickson County.

We are funded through a cooperative agreement between federal, state and county governments. All of our programs are offered to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, age, national origin, sex or disability and we are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The county’s six incorporated towns include communities that grew up along the railroad from Nashville to the Tennessee River as well as the historic county seat of Charlotte, which boasts the state’s oldest working courthouse and at one time was in consideration to become the state capital.
